The presence of the monumental complex of Sacri Monti, the spatial and temporal stratifications of Sella Ex-Woolen Mill are essential fragments through which understand Biella territory as narrative.

The installation aims to reconfigure a votive environment through which the user can understand the layers of time and space related to the structure. At the entrance, a book, in which are catalogued more than 160 chapels of the nine sacred mountains, prepares the visitor to understand the next space, that is entirely invaded by a totemic element, that recalls the places of worship’s most sacred area, the Sancta Sanctorum. The object consists of a six-meter high wooden structure covered by red tissue. Inside, a light source illuminates the installation, dyeing the room with vibrant scarlet shades. The space becomes a place of contemplation.
